Prescott Memorials

Where caring comes first

Company Established: 1945

Prescott Memorials endeavours to stand as a beacon of craftsmanship and compassion in the field of memorialization. Established with a vision to honour and celebrate cherished memories, Prescott Memorials has evolved into a trusted name, offering exquisite monuments and memorialization products to commemorate loved ones. The journey of Prescott Memorials began in 1945 when Charlie Bower embarked on a mission to redefine the concept of memorialization in Prescott, Ontario. Inspired by a personal experience, for nearly 50 years, Charlie provided a space where families could find solace and comfort in beautifully crafted memorials that reflected the essence of their loved ones' lives. In the early '90s, Elizabeth McCooeye took over operations and maintained the same commitment to excellence for 25 years. Every piece is crafted with meticulous attention to detail and unparalleled craftsmanship. From traditional headstones to custom-designed monuments, each creation is infused with a sense of reverence and dignity. Tom Cole, the current owner and operator of Prescott Memorials, is a skilled craftsman trained in traditional techniques but brings with him modern innovations to ensure that every memorial is a timeless masterpiece. A staunch advocate of Canadian-made monuments, Tom restored Prescott Memorials' status as an authorized Rock of Ages Canada retailer shortly after acquiring the business in 2018. Beyond crafting memorials, Prescott Memorials offers comprehensive services to guide families through every step of the memorialization process. Their compassionate and knowledgeable staff provide personalized assistance, from selecting the perfect design to coordinating installation and inscription services. Understanding the importance of this journey, Prescott Memorials strives to ease the burden on families during a time of loss, offering expert support and empathy at every turn. Prescott Memorials is actively involved in local initiatives and events, and it seeks to give back to the community that has supported it for more than 75 years. With cremation rates continuing to rise, in 2023, Prescott Memorials became an authorized retailer of TRADITIUM™, the next generation of monuments.
